Oakham 7 The Perse 2

After a well deserved half-term we were back into action playing against The Perse School. Knowing the score from last year we thought that it was going to be a tough match. The first half we didn’t play so well but did score a brilliant goal with Izzy doing a 'banana run' slipping it to Tilly on the P spot and she put it into the corner. After a long first half we managed to spring back into action for the second half with the aim to score 2 goals in the first 10 minutes, given to us by Mr Durston. Not only did we manage this but we exceeded it by scoring 5 in the first 9! This changed the game. It was a brilliant effort from the whole of the team resulting in Millie scoring a hat-trick by slapping it into the corners and the others by Izzy on the post deflecting it in and India on the P spot pushing it into the bottom left corner. After making the score 6-0 up we were able to safely say that we had won the match and let players have more of a break. Despite this it didn’t stop Tilly scoring a further goal by rounding the keeper. It was a superb match to watch for all the spectators. Well done to everyone involved.
