Well done to the U14 boys finishing Midlands runners up in the Regional Finals and are now one step away from qualifying for the National Finals!

The team played some excellent attacking hockey and beat Trent College 3-1, King Edward’s School Birmingham 2-0 and Adams Grammar School 3-1, finishing top of the group. They claimed victory against Solihull in the semi-final 1-0 and lost only to Repton in the final.

The boys now face a play-off match to qualify for the national stages, the opponent of which is yet to be confirmed.

Director of Hockey, James Bateman, said, “It was a fantastic afternoon of hockey. The boys put in some terrific performances and it was great to see all the hard work pay off. We are now looking forward to the play off in our bid to reach the national finals”

It is an exciting time for Oakham hockey with this success following in the wake of not only the U13 boys and girls who were crowned County Champions last weekend but also the U12 boys who won the County title yesterday with the U12 girls finishing runners up.
