Congratulations to Form 3 golfer Teddy who has been selected to play for the England Golf U18 regional squad for the second year running.

Teddy was chosen after performing well at a weekend of trials held in September, which involved completing ‘skill challenges’ followed by a day playing a round of golf.

He will now attend training sessions, which are part of the England Regional Training Programme, starting this month until April 20, when the season begins. Squad members will have advanced instruction and will also attend national/regional camps that provide technical and tactical knowhow.

Teddy, who has a handicap of 3, is no stranger to success having recently landed a hat trick of titles, winning the U14, U16 and U18 Lincolnshire County Golf Championships, a feat not known to have been achieved before since the competition started in 1937.

Master of Golf, Mr Steve Foster, said, “It is fantastic that Teddy has been chosen to play for the England Golf U18 squad for a second year running. The programme is a great chance to help develop his talent and provides exciting opportunities to represent his country. We look forward to following his progress and giving him the support he requires to help him reach his potential.”
